Milk powders and infant formula are among the most tested and regulated food products globally and must comply to regulated nutritional labelling, microbiological food safety and contaminant testing criteria. In Singapore, infant formula falls under the scope of "processed food" and is regulated as "special purpose food".

Governments define specific nutritional requirements and contaminant limits. We have developed the latest test methods for nutritional and contaminant testing that comply with both global regulations and the high level of specifications defined internally by various infant formula manufacturers.

We also support the most critical microbiological tests, including Cronobacter spp. and Salmonella spp. in powder infant formula. While Salmonella is a pathogenic organism, that can infect all humans, Cronobacter spp. (formerly Enterobacter sakazakii) is a pathogen that can cause severe diseases, primarily in infants under 6 months of age and immunocompromised adults. This organism is able to survive in low moisture foods, such as infant formula.
