Efficacy Testing for Disinfectant and Hand Sanitizers

Regulatory compliance of the product’s bactericidal activity testing, among others, is the key to proof the disinfectant power of this essential product for healthcare providers.

This anti-bacterial efficacy test is to determine the efficiency of a disinfectant or sanitisers in killing bacteria species. We perform the testing with British Standard (BS EN 1040). This test will provide the information of log reduction of bacteria species by respective liquid disinfectants / sanitisers.

The bacterial strains stipulated by the standard method EN 1040 for evaluation are:

- Pseudomonas aeruginosa

- Staphylococcus aureus

- Escherichia coli

- Bacillus cereus
